McKay-Scheer Studio Receives AIA Potomac Valley Merit Award

Hill & Hurtt Architects is pleased to share that McKay-Scheer Studio has received a 2025 AIA Potomac Valley Merit Award.

The adaptive reuse project transforms an early 20th-century light industrial building into a live-work residence for two artists in Washington, DC.

“A tender act of reuse, the studio holds onto fragments of its industrial past while becoming an intimate ground for creativity and continuity,” noted the jury.
